The electric heating element industry is seeing significant growth, driven by the global shift towards green and sustainable energy structures. Electric heating elements are categorized based on their applications: household, commercial, industrial, and new energy vehicle (NEV) heating elements. Household and commercial electric heating elements are widely used in appliances for kitchens, clothing care, bathrooms, and HVAC systems. Industrial heating elements are core components in medical devices, HVAC systems, and injection molding equipment. Recently, the rapid growth of the NEV sector has made electric heating elements for NEVs one of the fastest-growing product categories.

Electric heating elements are produced in various forms, including metal tubular, exposed, and film heating elements. As China's NEV industry thrives, the electric heating element sector in China is also expanding rapidly. Recent government policies have supported industry development, and with the broader context of carbon neutrality, the Chinese electric heating element market is on a fast growth trajectory.

The upstream industries for electric heating elements include materials such as hardware, stainless steel strips, electrical components, tubing, silicone rubber, magnesium oxide powder, resistance wire, aluminum ingots, and slurries, while the downstream industries include household and commercial appliances, industrial equipment, and NEV thermal management systems.

With the rise of electric vehicles, the value of automotive thermal management systems is increasing. NEVs require more precise temperature control, resulting in a fundamental shift in their thermal management systems compared to traditional vehicles. These systems now feature more integrated control and complex designs, increasing their value. The global market for NEV thermal management systems is expected to reach 123.9 billion yuan by 2025.
